Censorship of the student media is total BS. High school administrators don't seem to understand the hypocracy inherent in teaching about the Bill of Rights in class, but refusing to allow students experience in flexing those rights.

Thanks to an omnipresent TV commercial, right now I have that god damned Britney Spears "I'm a slave for you" lyric running through my head over and over again. What's the message here? That teenage girls should be obediant to their omnipotent teenage boyfriends? Beautiful. Our culture is polluted and the dumping ground is my mind and yours. It is undeniable that a mental-environmental movement is necessary to save ourselves from perpetual corporate mindrape. Protecting our senses of self will require culture jamming, media education and freedom of the press for people without their own presses.

Look, I'm sorry, but if you haven't conquered the world by 2001, you need to make peace, maximize your science output until you discover Fusion Power and start rush building a spaceship that will go to Alpha Centauri. If a petty hostile force is sabotaging your citizenry, set up a perimeter defence and expel all their diplomats. Bush's strategy of building a SDI defense in every city, swtiching to a fundamentalist government and nuking the world into submission might have worked, but his score would really suck because of all the pollution. Alternative strategies will only succeed if they're implemented quickly and you have a ton of gold to burn.

What do neuroscientists, American Muslims and bibliophiles have in common? They're all potential terrorists according to the community profiling that airport officials are relying on to determine who to kick off recent commercial flights.
