I pretty much suck at chess, and even the dumbest chess AI can beat me, since my mind's maximum search depth is one move deep and my branch trimming algorithm is basically random. Nevertheless, there are all sorts of fun chess variations to confuse your computer with. Especially fulfilling is Foreign Policy Chess where, no matter what, you at least get to watch the poor Blue Helmets get a beating.
